Being bald basically, means you are soaked by the end of most workouts. Now, as much as it’s cool to look like you’ve just murdered a workout or two, it does get a little irritating to have to wipe the sweat off your face every 2 seconds.
Factor in the fact that I’ve recently gone back to intensive HIIT workouts, it was time to get a headband. Now, you’re probably picturing a black headband, right? Wrong! Went for a bright red one, that reads (wait for it) FOCUS!
Yep, you guessed it, I look like such a tool with this on. The thing is, at some point in my life, this would have bothered me. It doesn’t anymore.
Through the years, I battled with being self-consciousness at the gym. I wanted to fit in so much, fly under the radar. You know, make the least amount of waves.
This world is so full of people telling how to behave, how to dress, how to workout, what to wear in the gym, blah blah blah.
I say be you (to a point, please don’t show up naked), be comfortable with you.
If your gym allows it, go topless (psst, ladies. There are so many gym bras specifically designed for this). You will be amazed at how freeing it is. People are battling their own demons to care, and even they do, who cares?!
After all, you can make gains or observations at the gym, never both.
